Celebrated pianist Nikolai Demidenko returns to Dunedin to perform Rachmaninov's famous Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op.30. Featured in the film Shine, this work is also well-known for its technical and musical demands on the soloist, and Nikolai's performance of it has been described as "electrifying (and)...poetic" (The Independent).

Sinfonia's Principal Guest Conductor, Werner Andreas Albert will celebrate his 50th year as professional conductor and over 600 recordings for German Radio networks, conducting Sinfonia's International Series Three. The programme will include pieces of Ravel (Mother Goose Suite and Brahms' Symphony No.1. A concert not to be missed!
