Favourites:
Learn waltz, Viennese waltz, foxtrot, quickstep and tango* from an experienced teacher and national adjudicator. Also taught will be New Vogue which is a collection of 15 Australian ballroom-based sequence dances, which are popular socially and competitively in New Zealand.
These are group classes. The teacher and students are friendly and welcoming of new students of any standard.
Classes are suitable for advanced beginners through to intermediate. Absolute beginners may wish to start lessons at CityDance (Queen St., CBD) or with a few initial private lessons. Advanced dancers may wish to book private lessons (details on website).
When joining the class, let Yufen, the teacher, know whether you prefer an emphasis on steps or technique.
*Note that ballroom tango is markedly different to the various dances under the 'Argentine Tango' umbrella (which might be again different to what is often termed 'Hollywood Tango').
