Mid-winter Saturday mornings have more to offer than just being rugged up on the sideline.
Public Programmes at The Edge is bringing back Pick & Mix for 2011, with free performances and workshops designed for the whole family to enjoy.
Every Saturday from 11 June until 27 August Pick & Mix is offering the chance to experience a wide range of arts and cultural events from New Zealand’s top performing arts companies and artists. Whether it’s dancing with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, learning to play the ukulele, making balloon animals or enjoying some good old fashioned story telling, Pick & Mix is the perfect start to the weekend.
Set in a relaxed environment where audience members can freely come and go, each performance starts at 11am and runs for 45mins with a free workshop with the performers after the show running from 12 noon to 12.45pm.
In 12 weeks you, your children, your grand children and your friends can take up the challenge of learning the art of African drumming, make musical magic with the NZSO, or learn to sing and dance like the stars with Auckland Music Theatre - and it’s all free!
Saturday 13 August: Auckland Music Theatre
Concert Chamber, Auckland Town Hall
Performance: 11am
Auckland Music Theatre Inc. will perform a selection of classic songs and dance numbers from some of the world’s most recognisable and spectacular musicals.
Workshop: 12 noon

Pick & Mix has something for everyone of any age, especially the young at heart. Come and join in the fun or just relax and be entertained. It’s all happening on the house and we want you to be part of it.
