From 20th-29th August 2011 the New Zealand Army Band will be performing an evening concert tour around the South Island.

The NZ Army Band is well-known for being one of the top marching bands in the world, but what most don’t know is that the band is also made up of a rhythm section. With the help of guitars, bass, keyboard and vocals the band is able to perform various styles of music including jazz, funk, rock, and popular charts from today.

The NZ Army Band has many talented musicians within it who all bring their own little flare to the concert. With many members of the band having played in numerous New Zealand national bands, the concert is sure to impress, with music such as ‘Hallelujah’, Michael Buble’s ‘Cry Me a River’ and the Latin-American inspired ‘Rhythm of Our World’ in the programme, filling the needs of every member of the family.
