A Date with the APO

Fancy good wine, tasty cheese and experiencing the live performance of Carmina Burana? How about meeting someone fun in the time it takes to boil an egg – five times?!

The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra is holding it's first ever speed dating evening on Friday 7 October in the Supper Room at the Auckland Town Hall, before the APO's Choral Masterpieces concert.

For just $40, enjoy five short dates, complimentary wine and cheese, plus the stage packed with a full symphonic orchestra and singers totally 200 people. If you're not keen to come along on your own, don't worry - you can bring your wingman along for only $30!

Carmina Burana has been described as “bawdy tales of lust, love and the joys of spring” - this is the perfect musical match.

Seats are limited so make sure you get in early!

The plan for the evening:
6.30 - 7.00pm: Registration, followed by refreshments and mingling
7.00pm: A welcome from the APO, an introduction to the concert and concept behind the evening
7.15 - 7.40pm: Five dates all five minutes long
7.45 - 8.00pm: Wrap-up and mingle
8.00pm: Move into the Great Hall for the APO performance of Beethoven's Symphony No.8 and Carl Orff's 'Carmina Burana'
