Johannes: "I always start my story as a misguided scientist looking for answers that didn't exist in the realms of science.

Captured by the magic of the photographic process, I saw photography as a vehicle for personal expression that didn't showcase my lack of drawing skills.

Assured of the economic viability of a career in photography by the sale of my first 'art image' for $10 I was easily convinced that I would have a comfortable life as a photographer.

If only that had been true.

I have won many awards as a wedding photographer for my work as a story teller and artist. These awards don't make me a better photographer than anybody else, but they do give me motivation to always do my best."
