Cy Winstanley:
For someone who doesn't really eat pies, guitarist and singer Cy Winstanley has his fingers in many of them. His relationship with music is one of many parts; one of multifarious influence and inspiration.
Whether it's a Monk tune, an ol' Spade Cooley western swinger, an old time fiddle tune or a mellifluous Jobim melody, Cy's style and delivery is at once arresting and calming. Born in NZ and based in London for 7 years after his 21st birthday, Cy returned to NZ in 2011 to write and record original material.
