This concert of orchestral classics is the first concert of the Northland Sinfonia's 2011 season and is dedicated to the Christchurch Red Cross appeal. The concert features three conductors - Nigel Harrison, its Musical Director and two guests, Glynne Adams and John Dylan.
The concert begins with Mendelssohn's overture 'Fair Melusine' and then Glynne Adams takes up the baton for Warlock's Capriol Suite. Nigel returns as soloist in the Mozart Clarinet concerto with John Dylan conducting. The second half has Sibelius' Waltz Triste followed by Schubert's 5th Symphony.
The tickets are available from Ticketek and are priced to encourage the audience to feel comfortable in donating to the appeal.
