The first heat of the Wellington Raw Comedy Quest begins Thursday 7 April.
This annual competition has launched the careers of some of Wellington's most successful performers, including 2006 Billy T Award Winner Cori Gonzalez-Macuer.
8 performers in each heat will be vying for a spot in the Wellington Final, from which only two performers will be sent to compete at the Grand Final at the Classic Comedy Bar in Auckland.
