The Body Lyre - Escape Songs Album Release

With Seth Frightening and Teen Hygiene.

Escape Songs is a 12-month musical diary, an experiment in recording and composition that has seen The Body Lyre's Rhydian Thomas and Ana McGowan release a song a month, every month throughout 2010.

All songs are available free from www.thebodylyre.bandcamp.com, and a physical vinyl and book release will be available via Mole Music in late April.

The release comprises elements of metal, rock, country, folk and shoe gaze. Taking pieces from the bands many influences including Swans, Neurosis, Ride, Pedro the Lion and Smog.

The album features many co-conspirators, including members from Strangers, Spook the Horses, The Family Cactus, Razorwyre and The Colour of My Bones, many of whom will make up the six-piece live band featured on the upcoming album release tour.

Escape Songs focuses on the intersection between the subjective world of individual experience and the wider socio-political world of interaction and collectivity.
