This day-long workshop is specifically designed for secondary aged young people (14+) interested in metal work and jewellery. There are two courses, each can be taken separately, or keen young jewellers can take both for maximum benefit and fun!
Part two: Make earrings and or a pendant from solid brass and silver, learn soldering, piercing, texturing, printing and forming.
Jewellery for me! is an exciting introduction to creating your own style in jewellery: fun, creative and fashion-forward, learn to make solid brass and silver jewellery for yourself or your friends. Go behind the scenes in a professional jewellery workshop, learn design and metal working skills with some of Wellington’s hottest young jewellers!
Our course fees cover all materials for these classes, including tools and metal.
Each workshop can be taken by a beginner or a student with some experience in metal work, as our tutors are skilled at catering to a variety of needs.
Our courses are taught at a minimum ratio of 1 tutor per 5 students.
Workspace Studios is based in Toi Poneke Arts Centre, an easy drop off point, with the Toi Poneke Hub where students can relax and have lunch.
Course participants must bring their own lunch and snacks. Light morning and afternoon refreshments will be provided.
