It just so happens that the date date of the Royal Wedding (April 29th) coincides with the International Day of Immunology.
The Malaghan Institute, Victoria University and Australasian Society for Immunology has put together a free series of short talks by their scientists entitled “A marriage of convenience: partnering with microbes for better health." They will be discussing how microbes – those tiny organisms that we can’t see without a microscope but are abundant everywhere on Earth – can be used to regulate immune response that affect diseases including cancer, asthma, diabetes and atherosclerosis.
Space is limited, registration is essential through the website.
