The Amici Ensemble, led by NZSO Associate Concertmaster Donald Armstrong, will be performing for the Waikanae Music Society. Concerts by the Amici Ensemble are a regular feature of Waikanae Music Society seasons and they are always very popular events.
With Donald Armstrong for this concert will be his NZSO colleagues Cristina Vaszilcsin (violin), Julia Joyce (viola), Rowan Prior (cello) and the outstanding clarinettist Philip Green. The major work on the programme will be the beautiful Brahms Clarinet Quintet. Other works are Mozart's Quartet (K157), Wolf's Italian Serenade and the Clarinet Quintet by NZ composer Anthony Ritchie.
