Forecast calls for a little snow and plenty of fun with Club PenguinTM at Kelly Tarlton’s these school holidays!
The inhabitants of Club Penguin waddle into Kelly Tarlton’s this Easter Holidays for plenty of family fun. Club Penguin’s first event in New Zealand is timed to coincide with Kelly Tarlton’s King Penguin Chick season, where visitors can welcome four super-cute chicks in their chilly crèche from our Snowcat ride and via the big screen. Kelly Tarlton’s will also be running special Life on the Ice talks every day, introducing our real life King and Gentoo Penguins.
Club Penguin (www.clubpenguin.com), a product of Disney Online, is one of the largest virtual worlds for children. It is played in more than 190 countries in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, and maintains a fun online environment for children to play in, with incorporated sophisticated word filters and a global team of live moderators.
Throughout Kelly Tarlton’s there will be heaps of cool Club Penguin activities to do every day. Gary the Gadget Guy, the island’s resident genius inventor, has set up his lab in the NIWA room, Sensei will be chilling in his Underwater Dojo, Rockhopper has his Hideaway in the newly revamped Oceanarium, and Club Penguin’s well-known advice columnist and editor of the Club Penguin Times newspaper, Aunt Arctic, will be introducing kids to all the weird and wonderful inhabitants of Creature Cove. And since we’ve had to say goodbye to summer, we’ve set up a fun indoor beach in Stingray Bay where kids can test their surfing and Penguin foosball skills.
In our special Puffle Room you can flex your creative muscles and make your very own furry pet Puffle to take home or pull up a Puffle beanbag and settle in for Club Penguin storytelling time (twice daily at 11.30am and 1.30pm).
There are loads of prizes to be won so be sure to come dressed up as your favourite Club Penguin character and you could go home with an awesome spot prize. Grab your free Puffle Treasure Hunt Map and explore the Antarctic Encounter & Underwater World to find the hidden Puffles for your chance to win a prize pack (valued at more than $500) filled with Club Penguin merchandise and a Kelly Tarlton's family pass.
During the holidays, every child’s ticket comes with a free activity book, packed full of great games and fun things to do – like dot-to-dots, word finds and jumbles, a colouring page, a step-by-step guide on how to draw a penguin and a craft project to create your own Puffle. All children will also receive a free bonus coin card which can be redeemed at clubpenguin.comso the fun continues at home after a day out at Kelly Tarlton’s”
