The centrepiece for the public at the Lift Off Levin Festival of Ballooning has to be the free Balloon Glow event, allowing people to check out these enormous aircraft up close, or take a step back and take in the spectacular sight of them lighting up the night sky together. With the event being held in the new location of Donnelly Park this year, there is more scope for flying events, with balloonists aiming to fly in and fly out from 3pm onwards, returning in time for the choreographed Balloon Glow. There will also be food and craft stalls, various attractions and live music at the event. The Balloon Glow starts at sunset, around 6pm and continues for about an hour, so be early if you are travelling, as it will be all over by 7pm.
