Hawke's Bay people unite to support the residents of Christchurch by bringing together the talent of the bay in a Deco-themed variety show presented by the Hawke's Bay Opera House.

Tessa Brown, a local performer/vocal tutor is to direct the show and has worked to bring together such talent as Dave Richardson, William Winitana, John Fletcher, Anna Pierard, Robert Cross, Kerry Unsworth, Karen Green, Bay City Stompers and the leads from 42nd Street and many other fantastic artists to perform an Art Deco themed variety show. John Cocking, aka 'Bertie' will compare, and John Pryce interiors will supply props and dress the stage.

"There has been a tremendous response from the entertainers" says Tessa. "Everyone wanted to show their support and help in some way". "It is not often you get such a talented group all performing together at one time, so the show will be outstanding".

"The Hawke's Bay Opera House is thrilled to sponsor the entire event, including all ticketing fees, so that 100% of the funds raised go to help the people of Christchurch", said Roger Coleman, General Manager.

Linda Malone from Decorum, the co-organiser of the event said "NZ gave to Hawke's Bay when our town lay in ruins after the 1931 Earthquake. Now we have a chance to give back". "Guests will be treated to a spectacular show, but their ticket price will also be their way of showing their support for the residents of Christchurch".
