Come and listen to an internationally acclaimed scientist talk about how he uncovers the secrets behind some of the world’s most important artworks including Vermeer’s Young Woman seated at a Virginal, and how he can spot fake Egyptian artefacts. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to hear this fascinating speaker share his work.
The 2011 Royal Society of New Zealand Distinguished Speaker Professor Robin Clark will be speaking on 'Science meets art: investigating pigments in art and archaeology'.
Professor Clark is an internationally celebrated scientist based at University College London and is an expert in use of Raman Microscopy in forensic archaeology.
This lecture is free and open to the general public. It is being held at the Gallagher Concert Chamber, Academy of Performing Arts, University of Waikato Campus, Hamilton (entry via Gate 2b on Knighton Road).
