Bellatrax (UK):

DJ / writer / producer Chris Dececio created the Bellatrax project in the summer of 2006 after being asked to do a credible UK house remix of “Whatever” by Ferry Corsten. The track was supported by many key DJs around Europe including Judge Jules who supported the track on his BBC Radio 1 show. Chris then decided to take Bellatrax to the next level and produce the first single “I Can’t Help Myself”. The track was remixed by Laidback Luke, Sunfreakz, Henry John Morgan, and was signed worldwide by Oxyd Italy, Nervous Records US, Spinnin Benelux, Blanco y Negro Spain and more. The record became an international hit with support DJs including Pete Tong & Judge Jules on BBC Radio 1, Tom Novy, Eddie Thoneick, Michael Grey, Graham Gold, XM Radio, Kiss FM, Hed Kandi, Radio 538 Holland etc. The track took US radio by storm and held the No.1 spot of the Billboard Dance Airplay Chart for 3 consecutive weeks.

Bellatrax was the second most played dance artist in the US in 2008. The single was also featured on prestigious compilations such as Ministry of Sound’s Clubbers Guide 2008, Ministry Sessions, Ministry’s Summer 2008, and Hed Kandi’s World Series amongst others. Since the success of the first Bellatrax single, Chris’ production skills were in high demand throughout 2009 with remixes for the likes of Ultra Records, Strictly Rhythm, Oxyd, Nervous, Island Records, Hed Kandi etc. The follow-up single featuring Tina Cousins “Can’t Hold Back” had great support in clubland and radio, including over 3 months of plays on both Kiss FM & Radio 538 Holland. During 2010 Chris continued moving onwards and upwards remixing for labels and artists such as Universal, Island, Polydor, Armada, Decode, and both Dannii and Kylie Minogue! Bellatrax vs Joey Negro “Make A Move On Me” and the Bellatrax remake of the classic trance track “Strange World” were both supported worldwide in clubland and radio during 2010.

It looks like things will continue to move forward in 2011 with two Bellatrax remixes going straight in at no.15 & no.16 of the UK Upfront Club Chart. Chris has also found time to get out into the world of DJing with gig highlights including the Miami Winter Music Conference, San Francisco Pride launch party, and various slots around the UK including Pacha, Ministry of Sound & Glastonbury Festival.
