Have you ever told a lie about your family? Are some truths better left unspoken? A single act of violence is about to shatter a neighbourhood. Five families are forced to confront secrets they have kept buried. "Havoc in the Garden" is an explosive new play about the lies that parents tell, and children reveal; the beliefs that hold families together and the myths that tear them apart.
Acclaimed writer Lennie James (The Sons of Charlie Paora), unearths the fault lines hidden just beneath the surface of family life.
Directed by Sam Scott, "Havoc in the Garden" stars an exciting multi-cultural cast of New Zealand's emerging and established theatre practitioners including Wesley Dowdell who starred in "Outrageous Fortune" and features music and sound designed by accomplished musician Tama Waipara. Direct from the Auckland International Festival of the Arts 2011.
