Image is what is commonly seen as the visual side of music. This is because the sound itself has no physical form. The next best thing are the ones that play it, which is why how they look and what they do are so important in helping us understand what music is all about.
The works in this show represent and magnify ten aspects of music commonly associated with sound and image; the collective, solitude, emotion, isolation, stage presence, noise, symmetry, enjoyment beauty and distraction. Every work looks at and explores a notion, stripping down and revealing the essence of music as a whole.
