Ladies: Get your teams together today for this fun fishing weekend for all skill levels!

Heading out from Marsden Cove Marina you can fish around the popular Hen and Chicks... Or from your own secret spot. Competing in teams of 4 - you can fish from the shore or from a boat.

Prizes include: 1st, 2nd, 3rd biggest snapper, kingi, snapper released & kingi released
Plus a lucky prize draw of a trip for two to Melbourne

Weekend schedule:

Friday 8 April:
- Briefing at Marsden Cove Marina Office at 6.00 pm.

Saturday 9 April:
- Fishing from 6.00 am through to Sunday.

Sunday 10 April:
- Fishing 'til 12.00 noon finish.
- Spit roast lunch from 12.30 pm.
- Final weigh-in by 1.00 pm at Marsden Cove.
- Prize-giving at 2.00 pm at Marsden Cove.

Tickets are $35 per person - and simply by entering you can go in the draw to win some great prizes - including a holiday! Ticket sales are opening soon.

Conditions of entry:

- Tickets must be purchased prior to fishing, and all competitors on the boat or shore must purchase a ticket.
- All competitors on boats must have life-jackets.
- Fishing starts at 6.00am Saturday 9 April 2011, and must cease by 12.00 noon on Sunday 10 April 2011.
- Weigh-in closes at 1.00pm Sunday 11 April.
- No ticket, no weigh-in.
- Competitors may use rods or hand-lines only.
- All fish weighed must be caught by a ticket holder.
- In the event of a draw, the first fish weighed-in will be the winner.
- Competitors should weigh-in the heaviest fish only.
- (Note: Ministry of Fisheries Regulations apply to all fish caught.)
- Prize-giving will be held as soon as practicable after weigh-in has finished.
- All Kingfish weighed in must be over 850mm in length.
- There are no fishing boundaries - and competitors can fish where they choose.
- Catch and release fish must be weighed, measured (length only) and photographed digitally. (Forms are available for this.)
- Competitors enter at their own risk. The event organisers, club and event sponsors accept no responsibility for loss, damage or other.
