Everybody loves a 'Big Show'. Since 2005, The Big Show has become one of the most popular shows in the annual NZ International Comedy Festival, promising a line-up of 4 world class comedians each night in a 2 hour show.

In previous years audiences at 'The Big Show' have been introduced to world class comedians such as Andy Parsons, Stephen K Amos, Mark Watson, Phil Nichol, Jason Cook, Neil Delamere, Carey Marx, Terry Alderton and many more. The Big Show 2011 is no exception with a fresh line-up of international comedy stars including:

- Gordon Southern (England)
With 16 years of comedy experience under his belt Gordon Southern is one of the most sought after headline acts on the UK and international circuit.
“A hugely likeable performer… one of the funniest things I’ve seen so far this festival.” - The Scotsman.

- Eddy Brimson (England)
Another globe-trotting Brit who has performed all over the world and makes it to our festival for the first time in 2011
“There must be a school of comedy in the British Isles with the motto “never let the truth get in the way of a good story” ... if such a school exists Eddy Brimson would be top of the class.” ... - The Sydney Herald

- Pete Johanssen (Canada)
Another globe-trotter, Pete Johansson has performed stand-up comedy in over 20 different countries, more recently cracking the competitive UK comedy circuit and receiving rave reviews on debut at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

- Mike Wozniak (England)
One of the hugely likeable new generation of UK comedian brings a fresh aspect to this year’s Big Show along with one of the finest moustaches on the circuit.

Sat 30 April to Sat 14 May (No Show Sundays and Mondays). Shows will be held in the Comedy Chamber.
