The Arrowtown Autumn Festival is a celebration of autumn and the beautiful red and golden colours to be seen throughout the streets and surrounding hillsides of this historic gold mining town. The 2011 festival will run from 29 April - 8 May and features around 60 events over the 10 day programme.
There is a street parade, arts and craft market, street entertainment, a musical, an art exhibition, comedy, jazz and country music plus much more... And lots of good old fashioned entertainment for the family. You will definitely find something for everyone in the line up.
Approaching its 27th year the festival is still run by the local community. An array of local performers as well as acts from further afield entertain the crowds over the 10 days. The full programme can be viewed at www.arrowtownautumnfestival.org.nz from January 2011.
