Fresh from touring Australia the well travelled folksinger, songwriter, guitarist and resident of Edinburgh, Scotland on his third tour of New Zealand has toured extensively in Europe and further afield.
His witty melodic songs of people, places, love, protest, community and social commentary are sometimes light-hearted, sometimes hard-hitting, always catchy, entertaining and thoughtful. Highly acclaimed Irish Band "Craobh Rua" and the late "Corries Folk Trio" singer "Paddie Bell" have covered them.
He will perform self penned and traditional Scots and Irish songs from his 2009 album, Tapselteerie O, some even newer songs and others from his extensive back catalogue.
Many of Allan's most recent songs are witty social observations on world events and events closer to home, sometimes light-hearted, sometimes hard-hitting, always entertaining and thoughtful.
