The 7th Chinese Film Festival is coming to New Zealand. This is to celebrate the 62nd Anniversary of China National Day. The 20 day event will bring 11 recent Chinese films including national and international award winners and starring well known film celebrities to audiences in New Zealand. The films will have Mandarin dialogue and English subtitles.

The organiser, Mr Jim He, Chairman of the Pacific Culture and Arts Exchange Centre (NZ) said “This will be the 7th Chinese Film Festival in New Zealand. The films will be a showcase the recent successful films from the Chinese film industry and introduce the new faces of the industry to audiences in New Zealand. New Zealand Audiences will be able to enjoy the latest film directed by China veteran film director Zhang Yimou and the film directed and acted by Hong Kong based Kongfu master, Jackie Chen. The festival is organised by China Film Bureau and New Zealand Film Commission, supported by Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, Consulate General of the People Republic of China in both Auckland and Christchurch, Office of Ethnic Affairs, Film Auckland and World Vision of New Zealand as well as Auckland City, Wellington City and Christchurch City.”
