Live Jazz - Lounge Sweet 4 Piece with Sax

Lounge Sweet, the four piece jazz quartet version or the normally 5 piece band, plays standard mainstream and Latin jazz. Inspired by New York greats - Coltrane, Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Bill Evans, Chick Corea, Jobim and other legends.

The accomplished Northland-based musicians formed Lounge Sweet two years ago and regularly gig at The Centre in Kerikeri, frequent private functions and various jazz festivals. Their first CD received positive acclaim and will be available on the night.

Reese Helmondollar on tenor sax, Barry Wilcox on keyboards, John Fraser on bass and Matt Hennessy on drums.

Butter Factory venue is a classy historical brick heritage building on Butter Factory Lane behind Farmers. It's the downstairs wine bar, not Butter Bank which is upstairs (also classy) on Bank Street (down from the Court House) just past the traffic lights at Bank and Rathbone St in Whangarei.
