The Titirangi Theatre presents the James K Baxter Season of Theatre as part of the Going West Books and Writers Festival 2010. Two-one act plays by James K Baxter: The Wide Open Cage and The Bureaucrat.
Written in the 1960s, these two plays examine the sexual politics in a time of enourmous social upheaval - they are thoughtful, challenging considerations of changing gender roles and relationships in a significant period of NZ history.
