Dancing from the inside out: Moving to Wholeness
With E. Connor Kelly MA ADTR LPC
Throughout our lives we long to be seen in our wholeness. Daniel
Seigel suggests “…not just want to be seen we want to feel felt.”
Authentic Movement is an opportunity to move in the presence
of a non-judgmental witness.
The mover with eyes closed follows their own inner impulses.
The witness contains their own internal processes as the mover moves. Art, journaling and dialoguing with the witness deepens the process. In this workshop we will explore this developmental process through first individuals moving.
Triad and dyadic forms follow as the witness role is learned.
On the second day the long circle is offered to illustrate how the form can become more fluid and contain a wider range of experiences. This process can contribute to our sense of self, our ability to be comfortable with others and ultimately strengthen our
presence in the world.

Practice Groups With Anne Frances
Exploring the movement/witness exchange: Movement, meditation, personal growth
An invitation to come together as movers and witnesses, in a non-judgmental environment and explore; the interplay between sensation, movement, emotion, image and consciousness
We will use Authentic Movement process, rituals and forms. The mover moves with eyes closed, listening to inner impulses, allowing movement to arise and be expressed as they chose. The witness attends to the mover, holding compassionate presence.
Exploring through dyads, triads and circles, using art, journaling and dialogue to process, integrate and support experience.
Our bodies are deep reservoirs of authenticity and truth, this practice allows the space for this to unfold, take form, and be witnessed in a healing circle.
When: 11/12 September 2010, 10-5pm each day
How: $200
