Te Horo School Country Fair (formerly known as Paddy's Mart) is our school's biggest fundraiser. People come from all over to attend a traditional country fair. We have the very popular Cow Pat Bingo- purchase the correct ticket number of where the cow will actually 'Pat" on the day. Also our other stalls of meat, produce, preserves, plants, white elephant, 2nd hand clothing, toys and books.

Entertainment will be on all afternoon with singers, dancers, musicians and even an equestrian display. Also quick fire raffles will be running all afternoon.

Don't forget for the children there is face painting, jewellery making, petting zoo, make-up, hair, nails and bouncy castles.

The food is fabulous with our own cafe, BBQ and other yummy fair type goodies.

The gates open at 12pm and people are usually queuing to get in.

Te Horo School's Country Fair last Saturday was an amazing day. The crowds were queuing again at the gates to get in. Cars were parked all the way up and down School Road. So after a wet week the weather gods were kind to us putting on a mild sunny afternoon.
Mrs. Jacqui Simpson Home and School Chairman said the final tally this year was an extraordinary $29,000 +, considerably well up on last year. Not bad for a little country school with a roll of 150. School principal Craig Vidulich was overwhelmed with the local community that gives so much of themselves to make the day such a success. This being his first fair he had been told it was the biggest fundraising day on the school's calendar but was blown away with how it all came together on the day. Wanting to give something back, this year Craig said we decided to have a donation box at the gate for Christchurch Earthquake victims which raised over $800.
