BrazilBeat Sound System:
BrazilBeat Sound System is an electronic band formed in San Fransisco, USA in 2000, and currently based in New Zealand. Pulling elements from Brazil and around the world, the BBSS sound is forged: a mashup of roots, baile funk, 4-on-the-floor, through to heavyweight, injected with roots level percussion. BBSS deliver explosive live shows, crammed with heavy bass, drum solos and hard-case MCing.

Percussionist/MC Nego Beto created the project together with Californian producer DJ Mara. Beto has played music on four continents, having toured with dozens of high profile acts including The Wailers and produced programmes for MTV Brazil. BBSS tracks have featured on compilations in the USA, Brazil, Japan & New Zealand, the independently released first album 'Nova' (2008) available digitally worldwide. The advance track from BrazilBeat's second record is "Future is Now (DnB Remix)", featuring MC Dreadeye. One of New Zealand's most in-demand female DJs, Tania has supported the likes of Carl Cox, Ferry Corsten, Vandalism, Sander Van Doorm, The Potbelleez, Bodyrockers, Calvin Harris, Fedde Le Grand, Tom Novy, Eddie Halliwell, Sharam, Mark Knight, Sebastien Ledger, to name a few. A staple feature for touring events & brands such as Deep Hard N Funky, Illuminate, Gatecrasher, Godskitchen, Summadayze, Future Music Festival, Slinky and Chemistry, Tania seductively delivers her cool blend of trademark funky vocal house and driving electro. Helen Corry:
Singer songwriter and guitarist Helen Corry is one of New Zealand's most exciting up and coming performers. Dividing her stage talents between singing and acting, Helen graduated from UNITEC School of Performing & Screen Arts in 2008, and has an impressive theatre and television resume including the role of Chloe Blackwell on Shortland Street and Auckland Theatre Company's The Three Penny Opera. Helen is a lead singer in Auckland based folk band Blackbird and a solo artist. Her stunning soulful delivery and incisive lyrics immediately captivate the audience.
