The feature exhibition in the Classic Car Gallery traces the progression of the site that now houses the museum. Standard Triumph purchased the site in 1965 to establish a car assembly plant. Cars were shipped from the UK as CKD (completely knocked down), and using local components a myriad of parts were transformed into cars.

The plant was assembling Honda cars when it closed in 1998, but one of the buildings has had a new lease of life. The end of one era was the start of another with the transformation of the distribution warehouse into museum space.

Finally, 14 years after its inception, WOW® could finally proudly display & conserve its incredible WearableArt™ collection when the Museum opened in 2001. Each piece on display in the WearableArt™ Gallery is the end product of a radical transformation from a brilliant concept into a tangible WearableArt™ garment. There are 62 garments on display throughout the Museum and 34 of these are from the 2009 Montana WOW® Awards Show.

Transformation exhibition runs May - November 2010
