'Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this petty pace from day to day to the last syllable of recorded time. And all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death- out, out brief candle. Life is but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.'
- Macbeth
Body in Space have created a semi-Brechtian version of Macbeth that was inspired by the above speech, one that Macbeth delivers after he finds his wife dead.
The troupe use 5 actors to create Macbeth's reality around him. These actors are all aware that they are playing roles. Macbeth, up until the veil of illusion is removed (as marked by the pivotal speech), exists inside the play, unaware that he is simply playing out a role. How will it all end?!
Body in Space invite you to experience this unique, raw and physical interpretation of Macbeth in their beautiful residency space- Fairfield House.
