Art takes to the catwalk in a wearable arts spectacular featuring designs by families, students, artists, businesses and community groups.
Now in its fifth year, Catwalk Arts typically draws 60 to 80 entries — many with real “wow” factor. Over the years designers have used a range of unexpected materials — from teddy bears to engine parts — to create wearable artworks that are innovative, exciting and fun.
The categories this year are creative families (theme: magical); students; wearable advertising; open; accessorise me! (theme: i see red) and dress your dad (theme: in his dreams).
The Friday night gala opening will be MC'd by Michelle Pickles and the judges include fashion designer Brooke Tyson and photographer Michelle Moir.
