This sci-fi musical will transport you into hyperspace with a tale of interplanetary love reverberating with the classic musical sounds from the '50s & '60s. Set in a B movie sci-fi world and loosely based on Shakespeare’s “Tempest”, this show bursts with red hot rock ‘n’ roll hits including “Great Balls of Fire”, “Good Vibrations”, “Teenager in Love”, “The Young Ones”, “Shake, Rattle & Roll” and “Who’s Sorry Now?”
Join Captain Tempest and his extraordinary crew as they try to get their space ship off a hostile planet. This musical has it all – a mad scientist, robots, scary monsters, a secret scientific formula, romance and loads of memorable Shakespearean lines, each with a sci-fi twist.
The musical will take place in the Selwyn Theatre at Selwyn College.
