A guided archaeological walk. A guided walk exploring the archaeological and cultural history of Maungakiekie-One Tree Hill with guide Dr. Malcolm Paterson. Malcolm belongs to Ngāti Whātua of Tāmaki and the Kaipara. He is author of a children’s book 'The Caste in our Backyard' about historical people and events linked to the mountain. Join Malcolm for a hīkoi around One Tree Hill and discover some of the maunga’s rich heritage.
