Weekend Workshop: History, Design and Layout.
For beginners or the more experienced, highlighting the simple ways of creating beautiful illuminated letters with gold leaf.
If you are inspired by The Book of Kells or St John's Bible, and want to learn the techniques then this workshop is for you. Discover some of the history of illuminated manuscrips and learn to design and create your own individual initials, filling in the background, using colour and paints and finally gilding with gold leaf.
Learn to design a verse or quote that is special to you. This workshop gives you time to reflect and create in a special environment.
