Experience the thrill of jumps racing at Ellerslie! Raced over 6400m (four miles), jumping 25 fences and going three times over the famous Ellerslie Hill, the Great Northern Steeplechase is a race founded on courage, stamina and sheer determination - for both horse and rider.

Great Northern Day at Ellerslie is a fantastic day out for everyone and for those social butterflies, don't forget there's the Whips 'n' Spurs Spring Party held on this day!

And to celebrate Father's Day, dads get in free when accompanied by a child!

Plus! There will be an exciting demonstration in the infield from the New Zealand Mounted Games Team who are soon to head to Kentucky to compete at the World Equestrian Games.
