The Red Cross, Dunedin City Council, and Kelvin Cummings Entertainments, are bringing together some of the best New Zealand and local celebrities and entertainers for a large charity concert. Extreme Makeover: City Edition The Red Cross Canterbury Earthquake Appeal Concert includes performances from Dane Rumble, Jonny Love plus a variety of Dunedin entertainers. All the proceeds going towards the earthquake-struck Canterbury region.
Alongside Dane Rumble, and Jonny Love, several local entertainers have been brought together including singer/songwriter Kelvin Cummings, The Oxo Cubans, X-Factor, Charma, Mayor Peter Chin, The John McGlashan Pipe Band, jazz group Chocolate, as well as featuring new local acts such as DJ Fadez, plus many more.
In addition to the bands and DJs, Extreme Makeover: City Edition also features dancers, a local magician and a performance from street performers Highly Flammable.
Tickets cost $10, and can be picked up from Regent Ticket Direct, The Golden Centre, and The Red Cross. Red Cross volunteers will be at the concert on the night with collection buckets seeking any additional donations that people can provide for this worthwhile cause.
The mayors of Canterbury and New Zealand Red Cross Chief Executive John Ware pledge that 100 per cent of every donation received by the Canterbury Earthquake Appeal will be spent entirely on the people affected by the earthquake.
