This year Central City Library continues to offer its free Thursday Lunchtime Concert Series that is held every Thursday until the beginning of October. The goal of the concert series is to continue making culture and enjoyment part of Aucklanders' lives as well as provide a platform for the music community and talented up-and-coming musicians to perform.
September 9:
Auckland Suzuki Cello Academy
Students from the Auckland Suzuki Cello Academy return with a programme you won’t want to miss.
September 16:
ACG Senior College
Known for their amazing musical productions, students from ACG Senior College will entertain with an exciting programme.
September 23:
St Cuthberts String Quartet
This ensemble will present the wonderful Haydn Emperor Quartet and the Shostakovich 8th Quartet.
September 30:
Cello students from University of Auckland
Talented cellists on the cusp of their professional careers present a stunning programme of favourite classics for this beautiful instrument.
October 7:
Jenna and friends
Favourite solos and duets from the repertoire of a group of young Auckland friends who share a love of performing.
Please join us for a cup of tea afterwards to celebrate the conclusion of the Thursday Lunchtime Concert series for 2010.
Free concerts are held noon to 1pm every Thursday until 7 October
