Mountain 2 Sea Relay - Open Challenge

A unique team trail relay run on the absolutely positively wild Wellington walkways!

Wellington has the best variety of walkways located within a major urban centre in New Zealand and this is a chance for you to get off the tarmac and concrete to explore some of these awesome tracks.

The 21.8 km course is split into 4 sections - which starts / finishes at the bottom of Alexandra Road on Mt Victoria, through Mt Albert, Island Bay to Owhiro Bay and back.

This unique running event includes an amazing variety of scenery and tracks.

It will take participants through native bush and forest, past the zoo (spot the animals) and our glorious south coast, involving two Wellington walkways- City to Sea and Southern Walkway.

Open Team Challenge - 2-3 member teams run the whole course together
Open Team Relay - 3 - 4 members do the course in relay

So whether you are a casual lunch time runner or want more of a challenge you can participate, and probaly find tracks you didn't know existed!

Entries are now open, early bird until 28 September, then entries close Tues 12 October.
