The very popular free concerts from NZSM students and staff conclude for 2010 with an all-Baroque showcase.
The programme includes Vivaldi’s Guitar Concerto in D Major (Matthew Marshall), Telemann’s Double Viola Concerto (with doctoral students Irina Andreeva and Andrew Filmer), and concertos from the incomparable J S Bach for Keyboard in E Major (Emma Sayers) and Violin in D Minor (Martin Risley), as well as Erbarme Dich from his St Matthew Passion (Margaret Medlyn).
These soloists will be accompanied by the NZSM Chamber Orchestra conducted by Donald Maurice. This is a wonderful opportunity to sit back, relax and let the worries of the week dissipate.
Held in the Ilott Theatre, Wellington Town Hall.
