There have always been bookbinders in Wellington. This exhibition of handmade books featuring fine binding, traditional bookbinding, artists' books, sculptural books, fabric, zine and found object books, celebrates these artists. Some books have content, some are waiting for the words of the new owner, some have things in them, some are beautiful examples of a very ancient craft.

The exhibition will also have 'Make Your Own Book' workshops, artist talks and demonstrations. See how the everyday 'book' is interpreted by some of Wellington's most exciting object, textile and fine binding artists. The Book Market on Saturday 9 October 11am will have notebooks, journals, children's books and many more for sale.
