Danse Orientale, more commonly known as ‘Belly Dance” is a sensuous form of dance that dates back thousands of years, specifically aimed at toning a woman’s body and allowing women to embrace their sensuality.
Taking you back to the roots of burlesque base movements, this one-hour workshop will introduce participants to basic steps, isolations and shimmy techniques. It will be concluded with learning a short choreography to a piece of traditional music.
Designed as an introduction, this course hopes to encourage participants to take belly dancing into their lives as a form of self-expression and exercise. Taught by Zabet, who has been dancing since the age of four, expect to let your hips get moving!
