Inside a pulsing laser beam lies a dancer, her back to the audience… She lies still. What will stir her? This is a concert filled with light and surprise, stillness and darkness, nakedness and unbalance. Living light, a body poised on edge. Today music by living composers – and Mahler. Beauty, yearning – the dance of the Light Fantastic.

Jennifer and Ben performed on Waiheke Island in April 2010 in the show Guitar and Gloves. Now they are back with this stunning new show. Performers in Dance the Light Fantastic are Jennifer De Leon, dancer extraordinaire and long-time provoker of ‘the dance establishment’; Ben Lawrence, electrical engineer deviating into radically new territory; and Xian Rae-lee, classical guitarist of pure beauty.
