A gala showcase of 10 brand-new short plays that explore the idea of madness as a matter of degree, the RETHiNK Theatre Challenge gets Aucklanders thinking about their attitudes to mental health and unwellness.

In June the call for scripts was sent out around the world. The best ten scripts have now been shortlisted and on October 8th teams of actors and directors will be given just 24 hours to workshop the scripts for performance.

Winning scripts come from across New Zealand, the USA, Scotland and the UK - including a script by Bob Baker, the writer behind Wallace & Grommit and one of the writers for Dr Who.

Four shows only!

With every show compeered by well-known New Zealand comedians including Chris Brain, Irene Pink and Rob Callaghan, the RETHiNK Theatre Challenge showcase is set to be an entertaining event for the whole family.

Anyone keen to act, direct or crew should contact the RETHiNK Theatre Challenge coordinator directly: adam@dramatrain.co.nz / (09) 8176176
