South Island Masters Games - Timaru

Timaru is hosting the Tenth South Island Masters Games - a week long multi-sporting festival for serious and social athletes at all levels.

During the nine days of the games, you will have the opportunity to compete in more than 50 different sporting codes. Most sports have both competitive and social grades. You don't have to be a top performer or even a current competitor to enter. There are no qualification criteria - except of course being old enough. Ages do vary from sport to sport, but generally ages start from 30 or 35.

All people with disabilities are encouraged to enter events at SIMG where applicable and event organisers will endeavour to cater to your needs.

So now is the time to enter. Why not try a completely new sport or perhaps make a comeback to a sport that you once played. Whatever you enter, you will be given the warmest South Canterbury welcome.

Of course the Games would not be complete without our legendary social programme packed with entertainment, enjoyment and floor-quaking fun. You can't say you've danced till you've experienced the Caroline Bay Hall sprung floor.
