The Spring Catalogue features the commanding representational flax paintings of Neal Palmer and the compelling beauty of Richard Orjis’s outstanding photography, the narrative parables of Gary Waldrom, Nigel Brown and Rebecca Harris, and the abstract colour dialogues of JS Parker and Lyndsay Patterson.
Layla Walter’s superb, delicate and understated Japonica for Midge and Kokako # 5 demonstrate an array of cast glass skills. John Parker’s suite of white ceramic forms reminds how powerful simplicity is. Terry Stringer’s renowned ability to completely alter perception and the humanistic dialogues of his work with viewing position is revealed in Head/Flower and A Secret Room in the Head. Megan Huffadine’s Ark is a work which combines sculptural presence with painterly concern in her now trademark manner. Luke Jacomb’s Blue Lustre Waka Paddle was first exhibited in the USA at the New Orleans Museum of Art.
