Brought to you by Soul Productions in association with Red Bull and Becks, Chicago Disco has been a super successful bi-monthly club night in Auckland's famous and infamous Ink Bar, since its inception nearly 2 years ago.. Drawing massive and loyal crowds every time, Chicago Disco is all about the very best of NZ Underground and Deep Housers holding it down and keeping it tight. If you like phat basslines, jazz licks, sampled soul, syncopation and swing, then Chicago Disco will be where you're at.

DJ Philippa is arguably New Zealand's longest-standing and highest profile female DJ, and she's a staunch advocate of Underground House. As a DJ, Philippa is a fiery performer, effortlessly controlling nightclub dance floors up and down New Zealand, where her skills and taste are in hot demand. Over the years she has collected a b-Net award for her DJing, been to the Red Bull Music Academy in Ireland, mixed one of Remix Magazine's most popular CDs ever, released a mix CD on local indie Iabel In Music and gained a post graduate diploma in Audio Engineering. Philippa has also held down the Friday Drive show on Auckland-based dance music radio station George FM for six years now, consistently one of the station's highest rating shows...

These days, aside from cutting up a storm in a club near you, Philippa is breaking into production, and has plans to travel to the US and UK DJing in 2007... Having played support for DJs the ilk of Joshua (IZ), DJ Heather, Roy Davis Jnr, the Inland Knights, Joey Youngman and Derrick Carter, Philippa is one performer you don't wanna miss..
