Port Charles Paua Festival 2010

Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat is proudly presenting the second Port Charles Paua Festival. Paua cuisine, light entertainment with music and performance, local seafood from paua via oysters to crayfish... Buy a raffle ticket, real waffles or a bun with delicious pork meat (pig-on-the-spit) supporting the community (Coromandel St John, Port Charles Rural Fire, Colville Community Health Trust and more). Be in to win a cooked crayfish or some local art, wood carvings, paua jewellery and maybe greenstone jewellery...

A wide range of art and craft stalls are booked in to showcase their work and share their creative passion.

Now confirmed for the afternoon - we will run a talent show - artists to be judged by the crowd. Cash prize to be won!

Tangiaro Kiwi Retreat also offers whole Labour Weekend packages with accommodation, meals, entrance fee, transport options from Auckland with the ferry (has to be arranged in time!) and bus. Give us a call!

Transport from Coromandel Town can be booked (bus return $30 per person, Strongman Coachlines- 07-866 8175). Limited bus transport will be also available from Colville with Kahaia Tours. Please book in advance.

The planned paua farm tours had to be cancelled - sorry.

Plenty of free car parking space will be available close to the Kiwi Retreat for the Festival visitors on a prepared paddock. Also some spaces for self-contained camper vans on a close by paddock patch with river access for over-night stayers! (In return for a koha)
