Rachmaninov’s Vespers Op 37 is one of the epic masterpieces in music literature and it is one of the composer’s own top two favourites in all of music!

Bach Musica NZ’s performance will be the world premiere of this piece in an arrangement for choir and orchestra by Russian tenor Dmitry Rusakov, now a NZ citizen resident in Auckland.

The concert opens with Boccherini’s delightful Cello Concerto played by one of NZ’s leading cello soloists, Tom Pierard.
